The Doge's Palace at a glance
The Doge's Palace (Palazzo Ducale) stands on the waterfront next to St. Mark's Basilica. For centuries it was the home of the doge, the elected head of the Venetian Republic, and the place where the republic's councils and courts met. Today it is a museum run by the city's museum foundation, MUVE.
One thing surprises many visitors: there is no ticket for the palace alone. You buy the St. Mark's Square Museums ticket, which also covers three other museums on the square. The price list below is the one published on the museum's website in October 2026.

Secret Itineraries and the Museum Pass
The Secret Itineraries tour (Itinerari Segreti) is a guided tour that comes on top of the standard museum visit. It costs €40 for adults and €20 for reduced tickets, and it includes unguided access to the standard museums. You can only join with a reservation, and the number of visitors is limited. Secondary sources give about 75 minutes and tours in Italian, English and French. The museum itself does not state this on the pages we checked, so confirm when you book.
The second special tour, The Doge's Hidden Treasures, visits the doge's private chapel and the room before it. It also costs €40 and €20. Reduced prices on both tours apply to holders of a Museum Pass, a Square Museums ticket or a Clock Tower ticket, with valid ID.
The Museum Pass (€50, or €25 reduced) is valid for six months and gives one entry per museum. You do not need a reservation. It pays off if you also want Ca' Rezzonico, the glass museum on Murano or the lace museum on Burano. The Clock Tower is not included.

The Bridge of Sighs and the rest of the route
What you can expect inside, and what we cannot confirm.
Bridge of Sighs
A secondary source lists the bridge as part of the standard route through the palace. The official visitor page does not say so explicitly, so treat it as likely, not guaranteed.
Bridge of Sighs →Other museums on the ticket
The same ticket opens the Museo Correr, the National Archaeological Museum and the Marciana Library rooms on St. Mark's Square. Plan extra time if you want all of them.
Not free on Sundays
Only a reseller site claims free Sundays, so do not count on it. Free entry on the Musei in Festa days in 2026 applied only to residents of the 44 municipalities of the Venice metropolitan area and Mogliano Veneto.
Clock Tower
The Torre dell'Orologio is visited on a guided tour that must be booked ahead. Children under 6 are not admitted. We could not verify the current price.
